Life's journey

In the morning, before the sun rise,
I wake up and feel so alive.
During the day, I work and play,
Until the sun sets and fades away.
At night, I sleep and dream of more,
Of the time that's passed and what's in store.

At dawn, the world begins to stir,
And birdsong fills the air.
Before long, the sun will rise,
And daytime will be there.

Throughout the day, the hours fly,
As work and play commence.
Before we know it, it's evening time,
And the day draws to its end.
As the night falls, the stars come out,
And the moon begins to rise.
We lay down to rest and dream,
As the world around us dies.

Beneath the stars, in the dead of night,
I lay awake, lost in thought.
Amidst my dreams, my mind takes flight,
And time becomes all for nought.

Amidst the chaos, during the storm,
I find a peace within my soul.
Despite the winds, the rain, the norm,
I feel a sense of being whole.
Upon the mountain, above the clouds,
I feel the world beneath my feet.
Around me, nature sings aloud,
And time slows down in this retreat.
